Xavier Antoine

Xavier Antoine is a Professor of Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of Lorraine. He received his Ph.D from the University of Pau in 1997 and habilitation thesis from the University of Toulouse in 2004. He was a Visiting Associate Professor at CalTech, USA, from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, he got a position of Professor at the School of Mines in Nancy and University of Lorraine. From 2013 to 2015, he was in charge of the national research fundings in "Mathematics and Interactions” at the National Agency for Research (ANR, Paris) and in 2013-2014 of the national program ‘’Hosting High-Level Researchers” (ANR).  Since 2015, he is the Head of the Institut Elie Cartan de Lorraine which is one of the largest mathematics departments in France.  His research interests concern some questions in mathematical modeling and numerical simulation for classical and quantum waves problems, with applications in physics, engineering and industrial problems.
